greek island winter ferries

It is winter again in the greek islands. This means that many ferry schedules are not operating during the winter season. This is very disappointing for many tourist that want to visit the greek islands during the winter period. There is no ferry connection between the two most wellknown islands, Mykonos and Santorini. Can you beleive that!! Many people want to visit both these islands but cannot since there is no direct ferry or air connection.

Santorini in July

On Santorini now. It is the most unique and romantic island in Greece. The weather is good, a slight wind and I am just bak from the beach of "perivolos". It is a long black sand beach with lots of tavernas, bars, coffee shops and sea sports. I think it is the best beach on the island. If you like a more quit beach then I would suggest the small beach at "Pori" located in the north eastern side of the island. About 8 klms from Fira town. This evening I will be off to Oia village which is located on the northern tip of the island and is famous for its sunset.

Mykonos accommodation

This is my first post. Hello to all from the Greek islands!
This is a very busy time. In July & August Mykonos & Santorini are packed with tourists. Especialy Greek and Italians.
www.mykonos.net is a great site to find details and accommodation for the island of Mykonos.
However it is extremely difficult to find any availability from now till 20 August.
